Windows and Mac apps: testing, feedback and store checks

Test a desktop app before it ships: checklists, beta testing, store submission checks and honest feedback for Windows and macOS programs.

A desktop app fails in ways a phone app rarely does: an installer that works only on your machine, an update that breaks saved settings, a window that opens off-screen after a monitor is unplugged. This hub collects guides for testing a Windows or macOS program before release.

What AppReviewX covers today. AppReviewX accepts apps from four stores by store link: Google Play, the Apple App Store (iPhone/iPad), the Mac App Store and the Microsoft Store (Windows). An owner adds the app by its public store link; other developers open the store page, test the published app and write private, structured feedback. One accepted feedback = one credit, and new accounts start with 0 credits. Store ratings are voluntary, unpaid and never required. Limits: Windows and Mac apps must already be published in their store (unpublished apps are only possible for Android). AppReviewX does not distribute builds, installers or TestFlight/beta invitations, and the Google Play test groups (12 testers, 14 days in a row) are for Android apps only. The guidance on these pages is general and works with any tools you choose.
